Mukwonago Food Pantry & Yerke Frog Alley Greenhouses announce Food Drive
What does a package of macaroni and cheese and a tomato plant have in common? Find out at the Memorial Day Weekend Food Drive to be held Saturday and Sunday May 29 and 30 at Yerke Frog Alley Greenhouses of Mukwonago. Canned and packaged food products will be collected both days at their Mukwonago farm location on Frog Alley Road and also at the Wales Hwy 18 Spring Market.
In return for bringing in two or more canned or packaged food products, contributors will receive a free potted tomato plant. Vegetable gardening has become more popular with families this year, even the First Family has a vegetable garden at the White House!
The family operated greenhouse is partnering with the Mukwonago Food Pantry that is in great need during the recent economic downturn. The number of families served by local food pantries continues to rise as one or more adults in households face unemployment. In addition to food products, other items that are needed include shampoo and laundry soap. Items may be brought in to the Mukwonago location at at S79W28995 Frog Alley Road or the Wales Hwy 18 Spring Market at S14W33879 Hwy 18 on Saturday and Sunday May 29 and 30 from 9am to 5pm. Proceeds will benefit your neighbors in need.
